Check the packaging of your Shrinky Dink plastic for exact instructions, but generally, they require 2-4 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. One important thing to remember is to punch any holes you might need BEFORE baking. If your design has a lot of detail then, you might want to use small scissors to get into all the nooks and crannies! You can use regular scissors to cut it out.
You can then flatten it further with a silicone turner or whatever you have handy (I used my metal water bottle.) The plastic will twist and turn all different ways but once you’ve properly melted it all, it should lay mostly flat. I wanted to show this to you using an affordable but high quality paint marker, so I used Ohuhu’s dual tipped acrylic markers for this.
